Designed by Brian Willson in 2018, Austin Pen is an interpretation of the penmanship of the inked portions of the famous Mexican-prison diary kept by Stephen F. Austin, the “Father of Texas,” in 1834-35. The font has a true-to-life period flavor and enough OpenType alternates to replicate remarkably genuine historical handwritten materials.
